A successful tactic to help your company fly high above other competitors in your industry is to build a positive corporate culture. Developing a constructive, positive, and confident culture within the workplace has benefits that result in better employee relationships and productivity in company growth.

Jason Kulpa, serial entrepreneur, learned during his years in leadership roles at different tech companies that exciting company culture is one of the essential ingredients for success. This concern for employees might have something to do with Kulpa being named "Most Admired CEO" by San Diego Business Journal. But striving to create a positive work community does not only keep things civil at the water cooler - UE.co has become a destination workplace and continues to pull top talent from every field in the industry.

Kulpa further reveals actionable steps a business can take to develop an outstanding company culture in the work environment that will only excel a business forward.

Step 1: Put respect first in the workplace

Aretha Franklin found out what respect meant to her, and you should, too, for the betterment of your company. Creating an environment that not only knows the meaning of respect but embraces it, as well, is the first step towards corporate culture success. Practicing respect within the workplace and treating others with the same equality we expect in return is vital to crushing organizational problems.

Step 2: Practice gratitude

Encourage a mutual understanding within the office that working with one another is a privilege, not a right. Set aside specific times at morning meetings to allow employees to express kudos to one another, highlighting specific values in employees or team-efforts that are appreciated.

Not only will this build confidence in individuals and the team as a whole, but it will also create a domino effect to boost team-spirit, set up a positive outlook for the day, and establish successful employee recognition to only strengthen your company's culture.

Step 3: View problems only as opportunities

Proactively enforce positive thinking by actively seeing problems as opportunities. High-stress levels in the office can make any issue seem huge and so easily crumble a positive environment. Stay on the track to success by maintaining a positive culture through an opportunist perspective.

When problems arise, see the moment as an experience without directly connecting it to the negative. Rather than acknowledging the experience with the term "problem," observe it as an opportunity to reflect, analyze, and evaluate. Use these opportunity experiences to continue to grow forward and only get better. Seeking humor and irony also helps to lighten the load of the situation, as well.

Step 4: Demonstrate employee loyalty

The nature of a positive company culture cultivates employee loyalty. If a company is loyal to its employees, its employees will remain happy to work for said company and will return the same dedication given.

Implement a standard that reinforces a healthy work/life balance to show further that the employee comes first. Assuring that all employees feel heard through open communication or surveys is also essential to ensuring employee value.
