Online video production startup 90 Seconds will pursue its global expansion after securing $8 million in Series A led by Sequoia India. The startup will also broaden its network of creative freelancers in India as well as in other countries.

More and more U.S. workers don't want to work for the "Man" anymore and be tied up to just one boss as they consider themselves "free agents." In a report by CNN Money, 31% of workers in the US consider themselves "free agents," according to a survey from Kelly Services, a recruiting and employment firm. These "free agents" consider themselves contractors, small business owners, temps, freelancers, and moonlighters, but never "traditional employees." This means, they don't get their income from just one boss. Most of these free agents said they entered their type of work willingly, and only 10% said they were forced into it due to economic conditions.

Australia is experiencing a record-shattering boom in technology listings as start-ups starved of venture capital funding pursue backdoor listings, a trend that has regulators concerned companies are trying to take short cuts to get to market.

Sydney, Australia-based outsourcing and service marketplace Freelancer will add US-based internet marketing forum Warrior Forum in a deal valued at $3.2 million in cash to provide an Internet business platform for its users.
