HTC One M9 is getting the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update following T-Mobile posted that HTC and partner telecom companies have come to terms to support the much-anticipated software upgrade. The prime Android update in history will bring in owners a host of new features and enhancements.
T-Mobile has confirmed that HTC One M9 will be treated with the official over-the-air (OTA) release of Android 6.0 Marshmallow. As one of the biggest mobile networks in the US, T-Mobile has revealed a track list on its software update support page to trace the current status of Android 6.0 Marshmallow to a good number of devices including from Samsung, LG, HTC and Google.
However, exact release date of the upgrade to the device remains elusive for now as T-Mobile has not spoken with regards to it. The previously reported October release will linger to be an unverified information, but tech analysts and Android fans both believe Marshmallow will not come to the device later than December 2015.
As per T-Mobile's track list, HTC One M9 is currently under manufacturer development status wherein the carrier and the device manufacturer have agreed to support a new software update. This key stage will be followed by a carrier's testing to modify the software, including alterations for device hardware, wireless radios, and applications.
