Autonomy Sells Remaining Stake in Blinkx

Autonomy is a software company owned by US computer manufacturer Hewlett-Packard Co. It stated last Tuesday that it sold its remaining stake in video search engine group Blinkx Plc.

The HP owned company was established in 1996 and has become a market leading software firm. It is also a pioneer in the industry and has helped various organizations understand the meaning information. The company has more than 65,000 clients worldwide and has dual headquarters in UK and San Francisco.

The shares of Autonomy in Blinkx were sold at 120 pence per share piece. The total number of shares sold by Autonomy was 45.7 million. This valued the deal at GBP54.84 million.

The sale of shares of Autonomy was given a 5% discount. It was sold to Blinkx's closing price last Tuesday. Goldman Sachs was the book runner of the sale. It was carried out via an accelerated offering to various institutional investors.
