'How to Train Your Dragon 3' will be the end of the beloved movie series, and director Dean DeBlois have teased fans about the upcoming separation of humans and dragons. With the release date of 29 June 2018, the possibilities for the plot are endless but will definitely feature why the dragons are no more, says DeBlois.

According to Movie News Guide, 'How to Train Your Dragon 3' will have humans and dragon on opposing sides in pending war. This comes from the fact that the book series where the movies are based on have told this narrative. Cressida Cowell had stated that the trilogy and book might differ in storytelling but will definitely "meet at same conclusions."

According to Movie Pilot, 'How to Train Your Dragon 3' will not just show human vs dragons war, but also a permanent goodbye for both species. In Cowell's books, the old Hiccup reminisces the time when dragons and humans lives together, showing that at his old age, the dragons were no more. However, fans hope that, as the films have not really stuck to the books' narrative, 'How to Train Your Dragon 3' will feature a different fate. DeBlois teases, that the possibility and consequent reason of the dragons coming back is a mystery to be seen in the actual film.

Young Health Magazine reports that the villain of the second movie, Drago, is returning for 'How to Train Your Dragon 3'. And many fans speculate that he will be out to cause the massive war to wipe out dragons. The end of the dragons also puts a definite end on Hiccup and Toothless' time together. According to DeBlois, Hiccup and Toothless chiefs of their respective tribes and that puts them in position where they do "what's right for their kind."  Eventually, he says, Hiccup will be able to stand on his own. As for Toothless, he remains mum about it.

'How to Train Your Dragon 3' is still perfecting its script. With the release date  in 2018, there are still so many ways this could go, but losing the dragons, in one way or another seems inevitable. Heartbreaking as it may be, 'How to Train Your Dragon 3' may just show how Hiccup and Toothless parting ways may be for the best. In whatever way this will be told, the movie will definitely epic, emotional adventure for the fans.
