Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 2016 Release Date Official: New Ally Revealed, General Krang to Team Up with Shredder?

The turtles are meeting a new ally in the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 entitled Half Shell. The origins of the iconic characters are to be explored in the sequel while new claims suggest that Shredder will also be teaming up with another new villain.   

 The turtles are coming back to defend New York from imminent danger in the sequel of the 2014 hit film. However, according to a report by Movie News Guide, they will be joined by a new ally in the person of Casey Jones. Also a vigilante himself, Jones is the master of stealth and will defend the city using sports tools, but the most notable among his weapons is the hockey stick which he carries with him most of the time.

But according to International Business Times, the turtles are not the only ones getting an ally as the wicked Shredder will also be joined by the alien villain, General Krang.  In the TMNT series, General Krang is considered to be one of the most powerful villains who was a war criminal sent out of Earth to the Dimension X. He eventually collaborated with Shredder and the foot clan with the evil intention of taking over the planet.

The film's plot is currently under wraps, although according to Master Herald, the origin of the turtles as well as of other characters, and their universe. According to the trade, the film will include flashbacks to April O'Neill's childhood which will also include the origin of the turtles.

The sequel to the hit 2014 film is directed by Dave Green and written by Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 will see the return of  Megan Fox as April O'Neill along with Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Noel Fisher as Michaelangelo, Pete Ploszek as Leonardo, and Jeremy Howard as Donatello.  The film is currently in post-production and has been slated to hit theaters on June 03, 2016.
