Microsoft has begun sending out media invitations for its event on October 6. It will kick off at 10:00 am in Skylight at Moynihan Station in New York City. The event is expected to give some exciting news about Windows 10 devices that will be revealed on that day, including the most-anticipated Microsoft Surface Pro 4.

It is widely believed that the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 might take the stage on the said event. Though it has not been formally announced by Microsoft yet, the Surface Pro 4 is rumored to run the Windows 10 operating system combined with Intel's Skylake chips, which can handle 4K UHD video output at 60 frames per second and can do up to three 4K displays. This allows the device to provide users with some unique features, such as added functionality when it comes to utilizing Cortana and longer battery life.

Since Microsoft has not officially released anything about the Surface Pro 4 yet, a lot of speculations are already circulating around the Internet these days. Recent rumors suggest that the company might increase the display resolution of the device, make it a little slimmer and lighter, and will have the same ultra-thin form factor like its predecessor. It might also include a fingerprint scanner and it will be 14 inches in size.

Furthermore, in terms of storage, Microsoft Surface Pro 4 could offer four variants, ranging from 64GB internal storage rising to 128GB, 256GB, and 500GB. Intel's RealSense 3D camera is allegedly included on the Surface Pro 4 as well as a new accessory - a stylus from now Microsoft-owned N-Trig.

Aside from the Surface Pro 4 tablet, Microsoft will likely to launch the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL mobile handsets as well as a new Microsoft Band. However, the company has not confirmed any of these things yet.

All Microsoft spectators just have to wait for the event on October 6. There are so many things that await everyone on this most-awaited day.
