Xiaomi Mi 5 New Features Detailed, Battled Out Against Mi 4

With Xiaomi's flagship, Mi 5, hitting the market soon, many are curious if it could beat its predecessor when it comes to its key features and specifications.

Xiaomi Mi 5 is rumored to be unveiled this coming Septemer 24, 2015, as reported by Neurogadget. Although the date of the release is getting near, Xiaomi hasn't confirmed anything yet about the release of the upcoming device.

The IBTimes cited some of the key features of the Mi 5. According to the outlet, the device will be furnished with a metal body unlike the M4. The Xiaomi's flagship is expected to come with a 5.2-inch QHD touchscreen having 2,560 x1,440 pixels screen resolution that is protected by Gorilla Glass 4. It would also come with either Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor that is run by Android Lollipop operating system. It might come packed with 32/64 GB internal memory plus a 4 GB of RAM.

As for its camera, it is equipped with 16 megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5 megapixel front-facing camera. When it comes to the battery, it will be powered with over 3,000 mAh capacity of battery. And lastly, it is also expected to come with fingerprint sensor and Type-C USB port.

The PhoneArena made a clear comparison between the Mi 4 and the newest Mi 5, and here are some of the key differences of the two. The Mi 5 was equipped with fingerprint scanner and is expected to use the USB Type-C (reversible) while Mi 4 doesn't support fingerprint scanner technology and is only supported with microUSB connector. The screeen of Mi 5 is equipped with Gorilla Glass 4 and is expected to be supported by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, meanwhile its predecessor is not armored with Gorilla Glass 4 and the processor was Qualcomm Snapdragon 801.

Xiaomi Mi 5 will be out in the market soon and is ready to dominate its forerunner, the Xiaomi Mi 4.
