After the unlikely rollout of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop to Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 LTE, reports now tell that more of Samsung's older devices might as well get the update, including the Galaxy Tab 7.7 and Galaxy Tab 10.1.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 and Galaxy Tab S are both still running on the Android KitKat software in most units of Verizon, Sprint, US Cellular, T-Mobile and AT&T. According to reports, the unlikely release of the latest and final Lollipop software version could prompt old Galaxy smartphones and tablets to receive it.

With Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 LTE's case, the tablet was running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat before it was upgraded to Lollipop, skipping 5.0, 5.0.1, 5.0.2, and 5.1 versions. The device was last updated in September 2014 and it seemed there is no more possible Android update coming up for it.

Qualified Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 LTE device has build number SM-T905. The firmware build is dated September 3 and is a bit heavy as it needs 1.3 GB. The rollout began in Nordic nations and gradually hitting the Northern American region.

Other Samsung Galaxy hopefuls are Galaxy Note Tab Pro12.2 Wi-Fi, Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 LTE, Galaxy Tab 4 (10.1), Galaxy Tab 4 (8.0), Galaxy Tab, Galaxy Tab S, Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), Galaxy S3, Galaxy S2, Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy Note Pro, Galaxy Note 10.1, and Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014).

Android Lollipop's 5.1.1 version shall come with changes and improvements in current apps and system, including Material Design, notifications, sharing and syncing, among others.

For Material Design, Lollipop brings in an improved user interface with much more colors and a fresh new look. The UI has more fluid animations and customization options in color, themes, fonts, and widgets.

For notification controls, Lollipop offers more options from contacts down to lock screen. Users can now fine-tune settings to select people and notifications to get through. Users also has the option to respond to notifications from the lock screen which brings more convenience.

For device syncing, files like songs, photos, recent searches and apps from a particular device can now be fully accessed across all other devices. For device sharing, imparting information can be done safely through guest user mode. Users can create multiple user accounts to allow friends and family access device without invading the owner's privacy. The new and improved Smart Lock allows users to secure device by pairing with a trusted device like cars and watches.
