Ciara and Russell Wilson are making a huge change in today's world after the couple has decided to prioritize celibacy in their relationship.  The singer revealed that they are implementing the "no-sex policy" for religious reasons.

The 29-year-old singer opened up to CBS "This Morning" about the decision she and her boyfriend Seattle Seahawks quarterback, Russell Wilson, recently made. According to her, she's enjoying their decision and accepts it as a great challenge in their lives together. Ciara even mentioned that they are honored to share their journey to other Christian members, according to Daily Mail.

"It's [celibacy] awesome. I think the cool thing is just being able to share our journey with some other people like us," the "Goodies" singer told the CBS anchor, Gayle King.  "It's a great challenge. I can definitely say that. But it's awesome because we get to really challenge ourselves, get to know each other and really build a foundation."

In July, the 26-year-old football quarterback admitted that he and Ciara are choosing to go on Jesus' way and not to have sex before marriage. Rolling Out reports that the athlete has spoken to pastor Miles McPherson of The Rock Church of their decision, which came right after his conversation with God.

"[Ciara] was on tour, and I was looking at her in the mirror, and God spoke to me," Wilson recollected. "He said, 'I need you to lead her.' I told her, 'What would you do if we took all that 'extra stuff' off the table, and just did it Jesus' way?'"

As soon as Wilson made his public disclosure, the couple received online backlash putting their relationship in the spotlight.  Ciara's ex-fiancée Future also expressed his opinion about their claim saying that God will never tell him that.

Future's tirade on her ex-partner Ciara comes on the heels after he got irate with the singer for letting her beau become close with their son, Future Zahir Wilburn.  He reportedly got frustrated and vented his madness on Twitter after a photo of Wilson hugging his son emerged online.

In an interview, the "Body Party" hitmaker revealed that their decision not to have premarital sex is part of their religious beliefs. As per E! News, she defended her fiancée by saying he's just being honest,  There are also many people like them, she added.

Ciara and Russell dated since mid-April of this year.  She dated rappers Bow Wow, 50 cent and NBA player, Amar'e Stoudemire before getting engaged with Future whom she shares one son.  The two called off their engagement in 2014.
