A few days after Microsoft released a statement that Windows 10 will be taking the fight agaisnt software piracy to another level, the reports have alerted many torrent trackers. Many feared that the new OS may be capable of wiping torrents from their hard drives, but not all believe that it is the case.

When Windows 10 was released almost a month ago, it has been receiving good remarks for its some of its restored functionality, and new features. Not to mention that it's free to upgrade from WIndows 7, 8, or 8.1. However, as Microsoft revealed that Windows 10 came with a new privacy policy, many believed that this new feature also spells privacy intrusion. This also includes large tech companies and solutions. Apparently, the hype is that the new OS has been programmed to scan data from the hard drive and send them back to Microsfot, which something that most users wouldn't agree with.

Previously, Windows 10 did have some issues about over-sharing information. These include sending Wi-Fi passwords to contacts, recording data usage, and documents the use of Windows services like Cortana, Skype, or Xbox Live. Worst of all, it is believed that it gathers information from P2P user's and share them with anti piracy groups.

In order to avoid remain anonymous and avoid being put out of business, torrent trackers have to put WIndows 10 users on the black list. Though there is no evidence that any piracy related info is being shared, numerous connections are raising red flags with other tracker operators.

One could tell that Microsoft may be scanning hard drives for games like Call of Duty. However, some beliieved that the move refers more to software included in Xbox services. There is also no solid proof of Microsoft shipping details of files and applications back to its servers for analysis. In other words, Windows 10 users dont have to worry much about their data being wiped out from their PCs.
