Emma Watson rose from being a wizard into an in demand leading actress in a couple of movies with her different roles. And for her latest film role, the 25-year old stunner was barely recognizable as she disguised herself as a plain nun.

The actress says her role as a nun in the £20 million political thriller "Colonia Dignidad" has been her most challenging yet, as claimed by Daily Mail UK. She also added, "It's the hardest part I've ever had to play. But also the most satisfying. It felt like the right thing to do."

According to Vogue UK, her latest film was based on real-life events that happened in Chile in the Seventies. Watson's character, Lena, finds herself forced to join a cult run by the preacher, Paul Schäfer, in the village of Colonia Dignidad. She was searching for her husband after he was kidnapped by General Augusto Pinochet's secret police, DINA. Moreover, Daniel Brühl takes on the part of Lena's husband Daniel in the thriller movie.

However, this wasn't the first time Watson has spoken out about the film. She previously told Total Film that she wasn't initially on board with the role, saying that they thought the material might be too dark for her, but was ultimately glad that she followed her gut in accepting it.

She stated,  "I immediately went, "Oh my God, I'm not sure!" it was really, really, really heavy and really awful subject matter. But then she changed her mind when she read the script but the script. Plus, she's a big fan of Daniel Brühl and it felt like it was the right thing for the actress to do.

A source close to the "Harry Potter" actress also stated that "Emma is determined to distance herself from Harry Potter and this is her big push to be taken seriously." Sugarscape mentioned that the source also claimed that Watson gives an amazing performance and is being tipped as an Oscar contender. She said that Watson is dowdy in this movie  and she's undergone a serious change to adapt to her role.

The film is directed by Oscar-winner  Florian Gallenberger and Daniel Brühl played the part of Watson's husband in the film. Fans have been very vocal about their excitement on the former wizard's nun role in "Colonia Dignidad". On the other hand, the film is slated for release at the start of 2016.
