The news confirming the end of Cinemax's "Banshee" by season 4 shocked the fans of the show as many thinks it is still too early to pull the plug. But there's a good reason for it according to the showrunner and the end is really happening as the title of the series finale have been revealed already.

Antony Starr's Lucas Hood will soon end his biggest act as a sheriff as "Banshee"'s last season is now underway. Co-creator Jonathan Tropper explained the reason via Grantland.com for his decision to end the series next year, Post-Gazette reported.

"I'm not going to get specific, but we all know the signs: stunt casting, trips to exotic locales, weddings, Mulder leaving, etc.," wrote Tropper.

He added, "We all know that feeling of helpless frustration when a good show gets left out too long and goes stale."

Tropper also pointed out that "Banshee"'s premise played a part in his decision since Lucas' sham will have to ultimately end.

""Banshee's' premise, by its very implausible nature, was always one with a somewhat limited shelf life," he added. "How long can anyone really pull off being a fake sheriff?"

For fans who cannot get enough news regarding Cinemax's hit series, Spoiler TV compiled the latest intel about it. They also included the Tropper's tweet, revealing that the series' finale episode is entitled, "Requiem."

The last 8-episodes of "Banshee" will also see Eliza Dushku as Agent Veronica Dawson, as per TVLine's report. The "Buffy" actress will reportedly work with Lucas to catch a serial killer but her "personal demons will make that task easier said than done," the site wrote.

"Banshee" will take its final bow after 8 episodes of season 4. Eliza Dushku joins as an agent who will work with Lucas in the final season of Cinemax's hit series, which will air next year.
