18-year old Victoria Siegel, daughter of Jacqueline and billionaire David Siegel, died from acute methadone and sertraline toxicity, according to reports. The teenager had been struggling a drug addiction before her death, and was fresh from rehab when she was found dead in their mansion.

When Victoria Siegel was found dead inside their house in Florida, the coroner said that it was an accident. The word suicide surfaced at the time of her death, but her parents did not believe it. E! Online reported that Jackie, Victoria's mother said "I don't think (she) had any intentions of killing herself. I think she just wanted to soothe the pain she was going through."

Aside from Victoria's grieving mother, her father was also very sad and pained when she passed away. "This should've been a happy time of celebration where I would have been walking her down the aisle and she would have started a new life as a new wife and a new mother. Instead we are having to bury her."

Page Six reported that Michael Marder, family lawyer of the Siegels said that "At this time we are assuming that there was an overdose. "Victoria was in rehab and was prescribed medication, but we do not know what was in her system at the time of her death or what the actual cause of death was."

Victoria suffered from addiction of prescription drugs Methadone (used for pain treatment) and Sertaline (for depression). Before she died, she surrendered herself to check herself in at a rehabilitation facility.

There might be one reason why Victoria took drugs that lead to her death - the text messages that were sent to her by her boyfriend's ex-girlfriend. "The ex-girlfriend of Victoria's boyfriend used his phone to send cruel and hateful text messages using the boyfriend's phone. These messages were clearly intended to hurt Victoria and while we cannot be sure may have affected her emotional state at a time when she was emotionally vulnerable,"  Marder said, according to People.
