Android 5.1.1 Lollipop is the latest fad in the Google-ran world of mobile operating system and smartphone and tablets owners of Samsung Galaxy, HTC One, LG and Sony Xperia are surely scratching their seats waiting for the rollout of Android 5 Lollipop's final update.

Samsung Galaxy devices are usually the earliest to receive Android updates and this time might not be an exception. Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update has already been started to roll out since the past days for select Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note and Galaxy Note Edge handsets.

As some units have not received over-the-air installation notification, Galaxy Note 4 update is yet missing. However, seeing the update already rolling out to a good number of Galaxy devices, Note 4 must not be far from the update.

Android 5.1.1 Lollipop has been made available since last week to Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge units under T-Mobile, US Cellular and Sprint. Verizon Wireless and AT&T have not expressed yet when to follow suit but surely it would take them too long.

T-Mobile's Galaxy S5 units have already received the update as well while other US major mobile carriers have not officially announced so far when the update be made available to their versions.

Sprint's Galaxy Note and Galaxy Note Edge units have started to receive the update while other US major mobile carriers have not officially announced so far when the update be made available to their versions.

Amid the spotted leak on Android 5.1.1 test with Galaxy Note 4, device units have not receive until now any official notification from Samsung that the update is ready to hit them.

In the case of Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Note 2 and some 2013 and 2014 Galaxy tablets which are still stuck with Android 5.0 Lollipop, mobile carriers and Samsung might be releasing directly the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop skipping the 5.1 and 5.0.1 upgrades to make up with other devices in the market.

Samsung has been known to be the number one Android OEM in the mobile tech industry seeing all their flagship devices carrying first latest Lollipop updates.
