LG is on the upper echelon of the phone wars along with Sony, Samsung, and iPhone. With this, buyers are also clamoring whenever LG is releasing a new phone like what others do for Sony, Samsung, and iPhone. In relation to that, LG is rumored to release a new model named G5.

According to LggReview, the G5 will carry an Ultra HD 4K display with True HD IPS and will also come with a 6-inch screen. The G5 might also flaunt a Corning Lotus or a Willow Glass or possibly a more sophisticated Sapphire Glass for the protection of the screen. It is also rumored to be equipped with either a 25 or 30 rear camera. On the inside, it might possibly have a massive 6GB RAM, but it is still a puzzle what type of chipset they will be using to support such huge RAM.

The LG G5 might also run on Google's Android 5.0.1 Lollipop or Android 6 Operating System, Latino Post said. G5 is also rumored to be powered by a detachable 4000mAh battery in order to compensate its soon to be busy processor due to the expectation that the users will be busy on the phone around the clock with its amazing and promising features.

With regard to the G5's official release, it is expected that LG will officially roll out the product sometime in 2016 since the G4 was released in February of this year, Digital Trends said. The technology review authority also said that according to a rumor from Korea, the LG G5 will also feature a retina scanning technology. If LG will push through with this technology, everyone can say that LG have taken the smartphone wars a notch higher. A report said that during a convention, LG demonstrated a smartphone that is equipped with a retina scanner, so most likely, if the stars aligned, LG will feature this on G5.

LG has truly stepped up and proved to the market leaders that they are in the game and if the rumors are true, most especially the retina scanner, LG might surpass the other market leaders if they will not be offering something that beat LG 5 the next couple of months.
