Ever since the season 4 finale aired, fans of the ABC fantasy series have been preparing for the arrival of Emma as the new Dark One. But according to Robert Carlyle, Rumpelstiltskin in the series, fans will be seeing some part of Good Emma on the "Once Upon A Time" season 5 opener, as per Entertainment Weekly's report.

"Episode 1, season 5, she is not the Dark One," Carlyle reveals. "Maybe she becomes that, but at this point, she's trying to get rid of it. She's trying to get rid of the dark magic at the moment."

Even Jennifer Morrison admits that her character will still fight the darkness in her before she fully succumbs to it. However, the real interesting part of the season will start when Emma goes full-on evil.

"There's a lightness, in a sense, in her darkness, because she doesn't have to do the right thing and she doesn't have to try to be the stronger, better person all the time," Morrison teased. "There's a little bit of freedom in that that is really fun."

We previously reported that there are endless ways for Dark Emma to wreak havoc in Storybrooke but one of the worst would be making an alliance with Zelena, played by Rebecca Mader. Zelena could manipulate Morrison's character and induce her into working with or for her to raise hell in the fictional town.
