The real battle begins now as season three of critically acclaimed Netflix TV series "House of Cards" ended with the breakup of power couple Frank and Claire Underwood. And it's a political battle fans can't wait to see in season 4, where Claire will emerge as the enemy of her ex-husband to pursue her earlier dreams.

The last season delved mostly on the marriage of the two, played by Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright. And while we didn't have much on politics with that season, the next one, which will most likely premiere in February, will go full-blown the politics theme, as it is also in that period when the actual US presidential elections will take place.

Series creator Beau Willimon said to Huffington post that Claire will no longer play the part of The First Lady, instead, she will be heading the Presidential seat against Frank, who seems very defeated after their breakup.

He added that it is an excitement that the coming season will be about how they deal with 'not working together'. As it has been quite a 'dissatisfaction' for fans not to have much politics last season, saying it had an up and down pace, Willimon believed that it's also significant to delve into the Claire-Frank dynamic.

Meanwhile musical scorer Jeff Beal told the Hollywood Reporter that he can't reveal yet the "shape" and the "big picture". He'll now begin writing the score with a broader expanse to the theme.

But the real question goes: what happens to Frank now that Claire is gone?

"That's one of the big questions going into season four," Willimon told The Hollywood Reporter. "A lot of the strength of the show is based on the strength of that marriage. But as soon as we began to explore that, we realized there was no turning back."

He also stated that what happened in the first two seasons reveals more exciting conflicts. However, Frank won't be truly destitute as Doug Stamper, played by Michael Kelly, will be there on his side to help him.

If all of these go real, the plot is certainly a metaphoric reminder of the former First Lady Hillary Clinton. And as it will be coinciding during the now-rising heat of the 20146 US presidential elections, it's very likely that we'll also see "Claire Underwood for President" slogan in TV.

Until the season 4 of House of Card arrives, we shall wait for further updates of what Claire Underwood would have to undergo to surpass the power her former husband Frank is currently holding.
