Good news for "Better Call Saul" fans as the shooting for the highly-anticipated second season of AMC's hit series is about to kick off this month. Bob Odenkirk will return to the show with an award on his hand after nabbing a Critics' Choice throphy. The actor however, forgot to include his wife in his speech.

Thomas Schnauz, writer for "Better Call Saul" season 2 and also former writer for "Breaking Bad," revealed that the shooting for the spinoff's second season will begin this month.

Schnauz dropped the news on his Twitter account last week after tweeting about what's happening inside the "Better Call Saul" writers' room. He also revealed that the pilot episode for the second season has a longer shooting schedule.

With this news, it is safe to assume that Jimmy McGill will return to the small screen early next year, February to be exact. Since its first season premiered on the same month last year, "Better Call Saul" season 2 will most likely drop on February 7 or 8.

The star of AMC's hit spinoff, Bob Odenkirk, on the other hand, had just won a Best Actor in a drama series in the recent Critics' Choice Television Award held at the Beverly Hilton. Odenkirk competed against some commendable actor like "Bates Motel"'s Freddie Highmore and "Justified"'s Timothy Olyphant.

Odenkirk thanked both the critics and fans of the spinoff then went on expressing his gratitude for the "Better Call Saul" showrunners Peter Gould and Vince Gilligan. However, the actor seemed to have forgotten to mention his wife during his speech. But it was Odenkirk's big night and he shared it with co-star Jonathan Banks who won the Best Supporting Actor award under the same category.

It is still uncertain whether Saul Goodman will be introduced in the second season of the spinoff but Gould and Gilligan previously teased that Jimmy McGill still has a long way to go before becoming the sleazy lawyer.

"Better Call Saul" fans will just have to wait for a few more months before seeing Jimmy McGill once again. But since shooting for the second season is about to begin, fans could expect that the Critics' Choice Winner, Bob Odenkirk will return on AMC early next year.
