Less than a month now, HBO's True Detective Season 2 will be back with new cast, plot and location. And a lot has been revealed like the release of trailers of the series

Rachel McAdams will apparently be the female lead investigator of the series. This season, the investigators will try to solve the murder case of Ben Caspar who killed and dumped on a highway with suspcious cult-like symbols embellish on his body.

The leaked plot of True Detective Season 2 is as follows:

"The second season of True Detective will follow the death of Ben Caspar, the corrupt city manager of a fictional California city who's found brutally murdered amid a potentially groundbreaking transportation deal that would forever change freeway gridlock in the state. Three law enforcement officers from different cities and branches of the government are tasked with finding out who did it.

They soon discover their investigation has much broader and darker implications than they initially thought. Caspar's 52-year-old corpse is found on a lonely stretch of Pacific Coast Highway near Big Sur-satanic symbols etched on his chest. It turns out he had a penchant for rough sex and may have been involved in the occult."

Showrunner Nic Pizzolatto revealed that there would be no connection between the first season and second season.

There's no relationship between the stories or characters, which was the result of fully committing to something new, but I do think that the seasons have a deep, close bond in sensibility and vision, a similar soul, though this is a more complex world and field of characters."

Aside from McAdams, another female who will step up in the series will be the character of Abigail Spencer.

In an interview with Spencer, she was ask about his role in the HBO hit series but she remained silent. "I can't say anything about it! I mean, I could tell you how amazing I think it's going to be."

The investigation will start as True Detective Season 2 premieres this June 21st on HBO. Will the puzzle be solved without anyone getting hurt? Let's find out.
