We've had the first taste of the worldwide phenomenon Fifty Shades of Grey, adapted from a book of the same name authored by the British writer E. L. James. Now the sequel Fifty Shades Darker will give us more thrilling, enticing, and more steamingly-hot moments in the cinema, as the dates of its release was confirmed last month.

Details of the sequel are still under development, now that it's opted to be released on February 10 in 2017, and the third of its installment, Fifty Shades Freed, will be on theaters February 9 of 2018.

Though there had been controversies of on-set arguments, either between E. L. James and Sam Taylor-Johnson, the movie's director, or Jamie Dornan, the lead actor for the role Christian Grey, and Taylor-Johnson, the movie made a stupendous mark on the blockbuster list. Fifty Shades of Grey, starred by Dakota Johnson as the lead female Anastasia Steele, grossed to almost $570, making it the third highest-grossing film of 2015 so far.

Now that plans for the next movie are building up, several changes have been made. Firstly, Taylor-Johnson wouldn't be participating any longer, due of course to the frequent on-set arguments. The film is currently director-less.

Secondly, E. L. James' husband, Niall Leonard, who happens to be a writer and a screenwriter, will be working for the script, replacing Kelly Marcel who also dropped the work.

And while the production for the movie is still to be set, having the absence of a director, teasers have been currently promulgating around and had kept the fans elated for what's about to come, as the last movie ended with the couple's break-up.

The Fifty Shades of Grey producer Dana Brunetti also posted photos on his Instagram account photos related to the sequel, showing hints through the use of 'the mask' which will play a big role on the coming film.
