Picked at the fourth round in the NFL draft, quarterback Bryce Petty promised that he will work with a great attitude and be the best, proving what other teams would miss out by not picking him. Petty says he is confident on his skills, and would most probably be shown during the upcoming Super Bowl L.

New York Jets coach Todd Bowles also said that Perry's the guy that they're very excited about. Mark Maccagnan as well thought that Perry has all the raw potential and ability, but will have to go through a maturation process.

Talks about the former Baylor Bears quarterback Bryce Petty said that he could be a "dark horse" in the first round pick of the NFL draft. Sports analysts consider him to be the third quarterback in the draft, trailing Winston and Marcus Mariota. However, he became the fifth quarterback off the board and went to the New York Jets in the fourth round pick.

An analysis stated that Bryce Petty was one of those "most productive quarterbacks in college football" in the last two seasons. He was able to have over 8,000 passing yards. Further, he was spotted as a day two pick, but day three saw him in the last four picks. Still, others consider this as an ideal situation for him as Petty is said to be "not ready to start away, and learning the system for a year or two as a fourth round pick could give him the flexibility to succeed."

New York Jets head coach Todd Bowles reportedly said, "We're not looking for him to be the starter right now. There's going to be a learning curve with him and we're very aware of that." The coach also thinks that "he's a guy that we're very excited about." This seems to be an exciting year for the upcoming Super Bowl XLX on 2016.

The new general manager of New York Jets Mike Maccagnan also agreed that Petty will also go through a "learning curve" even though he has "a high ceiling."

"It's going to be a maturation process from where he is in college... but we thought he had all the raw potential and ability, that if you're going to invest in a quarterback, he had all those attributes that would be very good to work with," said Maccagnan.

Petty reportedly told ESPN.com, "My job is to prove to the 31 other teams what they're missing out on... My confidence is never shaken."

He also committed to work with a "great attitude" as well being a "great teammate and learn all I can from the guys who have been there and done that." He did not expect anything about his role and would accept whatever it is, be it as a starter or a backup.

Bryce Petty and the New York Jets are also set to play in the Super Bowl 50 or "The Golden Super Bowl" to be held at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California on February 7, 2016.
