‘True Detective’ Season 2 Spoilers: Rachel McAdams gets tough, a no-nonsense sheriff with dark past; Horribly gruesome scenes expected

Latest 'True Detective' Season 2 spoilers indicate that fans should not miss an episode in the forthcoming season. Rachel McAdams is set to play a tough as nail character, Ani Bezzerides who has some dark past. Meanwhile, horrible gruesome episodes will be expected for this show starting in June.

The newest 'True Detective' Season 2 trailer from HBO revealed another exciting season we can expect for this show. The preview video gave fans a sneak peek on the cast including Rachel McAdams, Taylor Kitsch, Vince Vaughn and Colin Farrell.

Speaking of Rachel McAdams, it was previously reported that she will play a very challenging role in 'True Detective' Season 2. The preview video just confirmed that. McAdams plays Ani Bezzerides, the sheriff in charge of an investigation. Though she's being described as no-nonsense, her character is not without flaws. Bezzerides fights her past addictions, which include gambling and alcoholism.

As per HBO, 'True Detective' Season 2 is going to feature, "a bizarre murder brings together three law-enforcement officers and a career criminal, each of whom navigates a web of conspiracy and betrayal scorched landscapes of California."

Other good 'True Detective' Season 2 spoilers revealed the date for its premiere is already out. It will air on June 21, giving Sunday more to look forward to. Fans would also be glad to know that Nic Pizzolatto will still no doubt be the writer of True Detectives Season 2 where the theme will revolve on "Hard Women, Bad Men, and the Secret Occult History of the US Transportation System."

According to Bustle, fans should expect 'True Detective' Season 2 will feature some "horribly gruesome" episodes. The site reported that when Caspar's body is found, his eyes are burned out, his genitals have been removed, and there are satanic markings all over his chest. And it was speculated that perhaps Carcosa isn't as far behind us as we all thought.
