After the release of Bloodborne, though successful, it is definitely not perfect. Just like any other game before it, certain glitches, bugs and unwanted features can suddenly pop out of nowhere way after thousands fans are already playing the game. Though Bloodborne is great in almost every aspect, here are some chinks in the armour that can be exploited by anyone.

The Item duping glitch

Like its 'spiritual' predecessor, Dark Souls, which also had an item-duping exploit, Bloodborne has also its own item-duping glitch. Though this duplication glitch only works for consumables it is still an exploit.

  • Create alternative character, go to first lantern in Yarnham and return to hunter's dream.
  • Revert to main character and empty everything in storage chest.
  • Return to alternative character, buy a pebble and store it into the storage chest.
  • Revert to main character, put (consumable) item to duplicate in storage chest
  • Finally, with the main character, buy lots of pebbles. The number of pebbles over the 20 carrying limit will be the number of times the consumable item is duplicated in the storage chest.

Note that it works on duplicating Blood echoes, but this will 'ruin' the unforgivable challenge Bloodborne gives to players.

The Forbidden Forest Game-breaking Glitch

Though Sony has announced that they are cranking up their patching mechanism, this infamous game glitch can cause the player to not finish the game entirely. The glitch happens when the player is to enter the Forbidden forest area in multiplayer. When a player joins another game and enters this area, the Lunarium key, which is essential to progress in the game disappears forever. They were not joking about the Forbidden forest, it is really forbidden.

The Message Rating Health Glitch

If social media has anything to teach, it is commenting others will in turn result in friends. However, in Bloodborne, rating messages from other players will help gain friends and also give health points for free. The glitch works through mutual give and take relationship. Whenever someone rates a gamer's message, the gamer's character will get a full heal. Though there are no specific word from Sony that they are to patch this cool, give love glitch, it is unlikely that it will continue on forever.
