For the fifth time, John Cena, became a victime of celebrity death hoax. The false rumor of John Cena's death surfaced after a story run by Global Associated News circulated the internet saying that the WWE superstar died in a single vehicle car crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

"John Cena died in a single vehicle crash on Route 80 between Morristown and Roswell. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics responding to the vehicle accident and was identified by photo ID found on his body. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to have been a factor in this accident - March 11, 2015." The fake story was accompanied by a picture of an overturned car, presumably John Cena's.

This is the fifth time Cena reportedly "died". Last year, false reports also circulated the internet that the wrestler died because of a bad head injury while practicing a wrestling stunt. Fake reports in 2012 and 2011 also claimed that Cena died.

Cena, who has won 19 championships, including 12 world titles, joins a long list of celebrity's that are victims of celebrity death hoax. Last year, legendary actor Morgan Freeman, Wrecking Ball singer Miley Cyrus, country songstress Taylor Swift and former child actor Maculay Culkin have died in the internet.

Cena's demise in the internet is not actually new to wrestling fans. In recent years, there were false reports of untimely deaths of wrestling's biggest stars among them Owen Hart, Eddie Guerrero, and Chris Benoit. In 2012, Cena , was involved in in a three-car accident in Philadelphia when his SUV was rear ended by an Acura, which had been rear ended by a tractor trailer. No one was hurt in the said accident.

Cena is set to for a rematch with Rusev, the self-proclaimed defender of the Russian Federation in WrestleMania 31 which is scheduled to take place on March 29 2015.
