The Mentalist delivers non-stop nerve wracking action enough to bring avid followers on the edge of their seats from episode to episode towards the show's season 7 finale.

The Mentalist season 7 official spoilers for episode 10 titled 'Nothing Gold Can Stay' states, "Jane is set to take extreme measures as the team tries to apprehend a deadly gang of armored car robbers. It's a race against time though before the gang's quest to remain free from the authorities costs more innocent people their lives."

But before the tenth episode, the show airs 'Copper Bullet' where Jane cooks up a dangerous plan to save his friend Abbott's career that is put in line by Agent Peterson.  

The official synopsis for the ninth episode reads, "When Abbott's old boss, Agent Peterson, threatens Abbott's career-and possibly his freedom, Jane will devise a risky plan to protect his friend's future."

Rockmond Dunbar who plays Agent Abbott hinted fans about the show's upcoming finale. In his reported interview, he said, Dunbar added, 'There are always some twists and turns to keep people interested and wanting to come back and motivated to see the next episode, so always anticipate that. But the consistency of the storylines is there, and I think the fans and going to enjoy it.'

Indeed, long-time viewers of the show can expect that the two-part finale can just be as spectacular as it comes to a close after a record seven seasons.

In related news, it has been announced that the DVD of the complete thirteen episodes of The Mentalist season 7 will be released in the US on April 28. This compilation will include never before seen featurette.
