"Dallas" Season 4 cancellation reports are surfacing. However, there are still hopes that the TNT show could land on different networks, or better yet, have it sold on online stores. When will Elena's baby daddy be revealed, then?

On October 3, the network has already released an official statement regarding the cancellation. This, inevitably, would be a rightful choice for the network as the show garnered lower ratings as seasons have passed since 2012.

"TNT has decided not to renew Dallas. We are extremely proud of the series, which defied expectations by standing as a worthy continuation of the Ewing saga," the statement says, as reported by Breathe Cast. "We want to thank everyone involved with the show, from the extraordinary cast to the impeccable production team, led by the show's creative forces, Cynthia Cidre (show's executive producer) and Mike Robin ... We especially want to thank the people of 'Dallas' for their warm and generous hospitality during the production of the series."

Another factor that TNT may have considered is the show's abundance on its cast members. There are a lot included on the show; hence, having this concluded, the production might have thought of cancelling it rather than spending too much that results to poor ratings.

Season 3 recorded an average of 1.92 million viewers from its premiere to its final episode. Millions away from Season 1's 4.5 million viewers and Season 2's 2.84 million.

Meanwhile, if ever a fourth season would be airing on a different network, the premiere might just reveal the father of Elena's baby. On a TV Line report, Cindre teased that the revelation springs up early. "Oh, it's going to be revealed in the first episode. I just finished it, so I know exactly what happens. And I have to say, I'm excited. If we don't get picked up [for a fourth season], maybe I'll just go ahead and publish our first two scripts."

When asked if a 'third baby daddy' would be possible, she laughed and said, "There might be. I'd hate to spoil that for you."

"Dallas" Season 4 may not air on TNT, but there must be hopes for other networks shopping the series. What are your thoughts?
