The price of the two Apple handsets is the most obvious difference, with the additional 100 dollars of  iPhone 6 Plus from the price tag of iPhone 6. As this list tries to prove, Apple's iPhone 6 Plus has bigger and better features, with subtle upgrades compared to its counterpart. This is the primary reason why the iPhone 6 Plus is more expensive than iPhone 6.

Here's the list of a comparative difference between iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus:

1.      Design

Since 2007, Apple has produced variations of iPhone, evolving to be thinner and lighter. To achieve this lighter and thinner evolution of this year's iPhone, Apple has integrated some of iPad Air-style on the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The difference between the two handsets in terms of design is noticeable. The iPhone 6 is 4.7 inches wide and 6.9mm thick, while iPhone 6 Plus has 5.5 inches and a thickness of 7.1mm.

2.      Screen

The screen is the major distinction between the new models of Apple. The iPhone 6's display has a measurement of 4.7 inches at a resolution of 1,334 x 750 pixels or 326 pixels per inch, while iPhone 6 Plus has a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. With its pixel resolution, iPhone 6 Plus is a better version in terms of bigger and sharper Website text and other screen displays.

3.      Camera

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have the same camera technology with a 8-megapixel lens, but have a different camera stabilization feature. The iPhone 6 Plus has an OIS or optical image stabilization, while iPhone 6 only features the regular image stabilization. Optical image stabilization helps the composure of an image or video with an unsteady hand while on the shooting mode.

4.      Battery

Both new iPhone handsets are upgrades of the iPhone 5s in terms of battery life. The difference rests on iPhone 6 Plus and its larger frame, which means more room for a bigger battery.  The iPhone 6 Plus has a higher battery capacity, longer than iPhone 6's capacity of 16 days of talk time.

5.      Price

After a list of differences between the two Apple models, it is obvious that iPhone 6 Plus has bigger design and features, hence a more premium price than iPhone 6. The iPhone 6 has a starting price of $199 for 16GB version, while iPhone 6 Plus is $100 more than the smaller iPhone with $299 for 16GB.
