AMC recently released a second teaser trailer for the upcoming new season of the phenomenal series, "The Walking Dead." The clip shows Rick Grimes' (Andrew Lincoln) efforts to protect his "family" while they are being tortured inside a train car.

The teaser shows Rick being dragged, along with two more people, by two men who seem to be residents of Terminus. Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Glenn Rhee (Steven Yuen) were seen in the next shot. The two were tied up and have gags in their mouths.

A voice can be heard in the background saying, "These people are my family and if you hurt them in any way, I will kill you." It sounded like a furious Rick Grimes speaking to Gareth.

The short clip ended with the shot of Gareth smiling while a background voice can be hard saying, "I will kill you."

It can be recalled that in a previous report, Lincoln mentioned that fans can expect a lot of action and thrill in the new season's premiere episode.

"I think that this first episode is the strongest, most complete episode that we've done. It's full of action, the biggest action sequence that we've ever attempted. But it's also got one of the most incredible narrative scripts, and one of the coolest after credits coda," the actor said.

In an interview with AMCTV, showrunner Scott M. Gimple discussed how "The Walking Dead's" Season 5 is different from the previous chapter.

According to Gimple, the second part of Season 4 showed the characters being separated after the destruction of the prison. In the upcoming season, on the other hand, the characters are "not that separated." The showrunner also mentioned that things will be quite "brutal" and the characters will go through a lot.

In previous reports, series creator Robert Kirkman repeatedly mentioned that the premiere episode will explain why the group was taken to Terminus and what lies behind the mysterious people.

"The Walking Dead" Season 5 premieres Sunday, October 12, 2014 on AMC.
