Thailand-based WearYouWant raise $1.5 million in a Series A funding round from investors including Digital Media Partners, OPT SEA, IMG Investment Partners and co-founder Julien Chalte.

The fashion retail site was founded in 2011 by Chalte and Toft Sorensen. At present, the site reportedly carries 450 brands and 12,500 items for its active customers. The site works with two logistics operators and allows its customers to pay cash on delivery.

WearYouWant generates revenue in two ways: first, it charges retailers a sign up fee to put their products online. The site provides professional product photos as seen on models, an online inventory system, customer service and a payment system. Second, it also charges retailers a commission for every item sold.

The company claims it saw a triple-digit increase within the last six months in spite of the political unrest the country recently experienced.
