Quibb offers services for professionals in the industry to be able to discuss and share news. The company has been looking to close its seed funding round on Alphaworks. The latter is a crowdsourced platform that offers equity exchange which was launched recently by betaworks.

Quibb is among the first firms to engage in the use of the platform. The company has taken in $650k worth of funding from financiers. The company has also announced that it would close another $100k worth of new investment through Alphaworks.
Quibb was established by Sandi MacPherson to aid people in a specific industry to get significant new items on a daily basis.

MacPherson said, “I noticed that that was how people were using Twitter. People were mostly following other professionals they respected, and most people were sharing news relevant to their profession.”

This has led her to build another platform where users could get discussions relevant to their professions, reported TechCrunch.
