Enterprise Holdings purchases Denver car-sharing firm OccasionalCar

Enterprise Holdings announced its acquisition of car-sharing service OccasionalCar in a deal that will be completed today. The financial terms of the said deal were not disclosed by the company, according to Breaking Travel News.

Enterprise assistant vice president Ryan Johnson said: "We remain committed to providing sustainable transportation options and are excited to include OccasionalCar members as part of our local network."

Under the other terms of the transaction, Occasional car will continue operating using its current brand until the end of summer. Then, it will be integrated into the Enterprise Rent-A-Car network. OccasionalCar has been operating in Denver since 2009, the report detailed.

Enterprise Holdings is the operator of the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental, and Alamo Rent A Car brands. It also offers car-sharing and carpooling services through Enterprise CarShare and Enterprise Rideshare. In addition, the firm runs online ride-matching program Zimride by Enterprise, Breaking Travel News reported.
