Italian app development platform AppsBuilder bags $1.5M in funding

AppsBuilder has pocketed $1.5 million in fresh capital from United Ventures to provide app developers a platform for easy development of mobile apps. The startup will use the new funding to consolidate and build its UK and US businesses, according to TechCrunch.

Existing backers Annapurna Ventures, Angels, and Zernike Meta Ventures also participated in the said round. The latest financing gives AppsBuilder a total raised capital of $3.5 million, the report added.

The Italian startup claims to have achieved a 40% revenue growth within the last six months. It also said it has garnered almost a million members in 70 countries. Its app development platform supports six languages including English, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Italian. The company's biggest rivals are iBuildApp and Mobile Roadie, the report detailed.

AppsBuilder also claim its platform is instrumental to the development of 8,000 apps per month. The US and the UK are the startup's top biggest markets, with Italy and Brazil trailing behind, TechCrunch reported.
