Kentucky startup You Saw Me joins Awesome Inc's accelerator program

Seth McBee, founder of the You Saw Me lighted vest manufacturing startup, has joined the accelerator program of Awesome Inc. Before that, he received a $25,000 prize from a startup contest hosted by the Bluegrass Angels, according to Kentucky.com.

Awesome Inc co-founder Brian Raney described their goal: "One of the main purposes ... is to use this program to help companies like Seth's. We would like for the next Google to come out of here."

You Saw Me provides enhanced visibility for bicycle riders, safety personnel, runners, walkers, and others through its lighted vests. McBee, an engineering graduate from the University of Maryland, designed lighted vests that can be programmed to change colors, intensities, and flashing speed. Together with his partner Kevin Winzer, McBee has secured patents for the device in 2013, the report detailed.

Awesome Inc, on the other hand, is an organization that helps Kentucky startups thrive an grow. It offers business advice and helps startups gain information and strategies on conquering challenges in their respective sectors, Kentucky.com reported.
