Moot.it is an online forum website launched last April. The online forum site offered customizable and modern looking themes for user talks online. According to TechCrunch, the company created out frustration, as stated on its website, has taken in new funding valued USD770000. Moot.it also announced changing the name of the site to Muut.

The new funds were raised through Oregon Angel Fund, Portland Seed Fund and other notable tech investors, said TechCrunch.

The site has been receiving thousands of new visitors on a daily basis. According to its data, Moot.it, now Muut, has listed more than 28,000 customer base with a 300,000 user base figure. Muut also said that the online discussion site’s app has been downloaded around 150 million times every month.

Muut was created by Courtney Couch, Janne Lehtinen and Tero Piirainen, reported TechCruch. Before Muut’s inception, the three had been working on Flowplayer, a web video player.
