Illinois firm Professional Service Industries adds Midwest Engineering

Midwest Engineering Services Inc has been purchased by Professional Service Industries Inc. As a result of the acquisition, the latter has become Wisconsin's biggest testing and inspection firm, according to Post Crescent. The value of the deal was not disclosed in the said report.

Professional Service chief executive officer (CEO) Murray Savage said of the deal: "I am very pleased that MES management and staff will continue to be part of the leadership team in Wisconsin. In fact, the combination of our two firms and our joint commitment to safety, quality and ethics fits perfectly into PSI's Information To Build On business model and One Company, One Call service delivery platform."

Under the terms of the said deal, Midwest Engineering will continue its normal operations, the report added. 

Professional Service Industries is a company that provides engineering, consulting, and testing services in the environmental, construction, industrial hygiene, geotechnical engineering, and other sectors. The Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois-based firm currently employs over 2,300 people, the report detailed.

Formed in 1989, Midwest Engineering Services currently employs 40 people. The Waukesha-based company also has branches in Appleton, Green Bay, Ripon, and Chippewa Falls, Post Crescent stated.
