On Wednesday, Lufthansa told Reuters that it would sell off a part of its IT business. The move comes after a planned revamp of the airline company’s entire business arm. The company also said that it has already engaged in discussions with interested buyers.

Germany’s biggest airline firm Lufthansa is in its group-wide reorganization program, according to a Reuters report. The company is looking to improve its profit by EUR1.5 billion at the end of 2015 compared to the company’s 2011 profit.
The IT division of the airline firm, Lufthansa Systems would be divided into three parts. This would include Airline Solutions, Industry Solutions and the Infrastructure. The company would remain its Airline and Industry Solutions while the infrastructure arm would be sold.

A representative from the airline firm told Reuters, "Indicative talks with some interested parties have already taken place and we hope to send out an invitation to tender shortly."
