Times Internet (TIL) has invested an undisclosed amount of funding in mobile education provider GradeStack, according to The Economic Times.

GradeStack co-founder Vibhu Bhushan explained their strategy for tapping into the mobile education market: "Just pushing web content on mobile is not the solution. Turning content into shorter modules, gamifying the learning experience and making it social is the key."

The Noida-based startup provides mobile courses in GRE, CFA and CBSE board examinations, which can also be taken via desktop computers. The mobile educational content for 30 available courses are created by GradeStack's partner publishers and educational institutes. The company also adds 10 courses every month to their program and offers assessment, discussions, and flashcards to facilitate learning, the report explained.

Launched in 2013 by Bhushan, Shobhit Bhatnagar, and Sanjeev Kumar, GradeStack has now posted over 400,000 downloads. The startup plans to reach a million downloads by mid-2014, The Economic Times reported.
