Engineering education startup Skyfi Labs has received an undisclosed amount of investment from The Chennai Angels (TCA) and Spark Capital, according to Business Standard.

The Bangalore-base startup will use the new capital ro develop its product offerings. Skyfi will also widen its market reach to 1,000 college schools, the report detailed.

VC Circle cited founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Pavan Ponnaganti saying: "Our mission is to equip Indian engineering graduates with the right combination of 'praxis' and theory. We have already begun benefiting through the advice and networking provided by individual Chennai Angels members and hope to scale far more rapidly than we would have otherwise."

Founded in 2010 by Ponnaganti, Skyfi allows engineering students in India to undergo both online and offline practical training in their course. The startup trains students from over 150 colleges in the robotics, web and mobile app development, civil engineering, and aeromodelling sectors, the report stated.
