Google has been hit again by another outage, this time involving its real-time chat services, Google+ Hangouts, and Gmail. The problem was first reported 12:00 pm ET on Monday, according to Mashable.

Google released a statement about the said outage: "Hi there, We're investigating reports of an issue with Google+ Hangouts. We will provide more information shortly. Please check the Apps Status Dashboard for further information:https://www.google.com/appsstatus#hl=en&v=status."

As of now, the status on Google's Apps Status Dashboard reads "Service Disruption." The problem seems to have affected Google Spreadsheets as well. However, the rest of the Google Docs formats remain unaffected. Some users have already reported that Docs Spreadsheets are back online, TechCrunch detailed.

Gmail was last affected by a similar problem in January of this year. At that time, two major disruptions occurred within two weeks. As of 2012, Gmail has approximately 425 million active users every month. As Gmail continues to add more features to its free web service, more crashes have also been noted, Mashable reported.
