Software startup Allthings has secured £400,000 in funding to help workers simplify task-listing and collaboration. The round was supported by the Scottish Investment Bank and other local investors, according to The Courier.

Kerry Sharp of the Scottish Investment Bank revealed the purpose of the investment: "The funds will assist the company to realize its ambitious growth strategies and deliver long-term results for both the local Tayside economy and the Scottish economy as a whole."

Allthings was founded by David Hay, Dee Ward, and Ralph Hasselgren. The trio sought to come up with a very user-friendly task-listing system that can be used on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. Allthings works by filing and updating tasks in real times so workers do not need to constantly dig through their emails for task details, the report explained.

The Dundee startup, which was launched 10 months ago, makes money through subscriptions. Users can start with the free version and upgrade later on to the pro version and team edition. The platform currently has 3,500 users, The Courier reported.
