Berlin recruiting startups softgarden and 1000jobboersen.de have merged to form the biggest Recruiting-as-a-Service provider in Europe. Under the terms of the merger deal, the newly formed company will be called softgarden E-Recruiting, according to TechCrunch.

The new entity's combined number of customers has now reached 5,000. The financial value of the deal, however, was not disclosed in the said report.

Meanwhile, investors Cipio Partners and Alexander Bruhl have invested a seven-digit amount in the latest funding round of the German recruiting startups. Softgarden E-Recruiting will use the capital infusion to reinforce its marketing efforts and product development, the report detailed.

Softgarden is a company that helps hiring managers manage their company's recruiting process using an e-recruiting software. The startup was founded by Dominik Faber and Stefan Schuffler in 2001, according to Crunchbase.

1000jobboersen.de, on the other hand, was established in 2008 as an online service that allows companies to advertise their job offerings via social networks and various job portals, its Crunchbase profile said.
