Search and staffing company Alp Consulting Ltd announced that it has entered a partnership with Japanese firm Outsourcing Inc. Under the terms of the said deal, the latter will invest $5 million (INR30 crore) in Alp Consulting and gain a majority stake in the Indian firm, according to The Financial Express.

Jayachandran Pillai, the co-founder and chairman of Alp Consulting, said of the deal: "This partnership will allow us to add value to our existing and future clients, beyond just staffing."

As a result of the transaction, Alp Consulting will be integrated into the Japan-listed staffing firm. It will also help Outsourcing Inc tap into the Indian market. Outsourcing wants to facilitate its expansion by using the outsourcing services of the Alp Group to serve Japanese firms, the report detailed.

The partnership between Alp Consulting and Outsourcing Inc may also make way for international staff placement in Australia, Japan, and Singapore, the report added.

Outsourcing chairman Haruhiko Doi said: "Unlike Japan, India's working population is set to grow to 240 million in the next 20 years which will catalyse the relationship further."
