Canada's Avison Young buys Columbus-based firm PSB Realty

Canadian commercial real estate service firm Avison Young has acquired Columbus-based firm PSB Realty Advisors. The acquisition was announced last week, according to The Columbus Dispatch.

In connection with the said deal, Avison has also opened a new office in Columbus, the report added.

Under the terms of the transaction, PSB Realty's former president and principal owner Scott Pickett has become a principal of Avison. He has also taken his seat as the managing director of the new office. The said office is located at 88 E. Broad Str., Suite 1740 in Columbus, the report detailed.

The branch in Columbus is the 39th office of Avison outside of Canada, the report noted.

In the past five years, Avison Young has expanded from initially 11 to 54 branches in 43 markets, according to a company statement. The Canadian firm has also grown from initially 300 to 1,500 real estate professionals in the US and in Canada, The Columbus Dispatch reported.
