MoolaHoop, a crowdfunding platform for female entrepreneurs, announced on Tuesday that it has purchased small business crowdfunding site Lucky Ant. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed, wrote Dallas News.

The addition allows the Dallas-based female-focused firm to integrate the technology of New York-based Lucky Ant into its own. According to co-founder Brenda Bazan, Lucky Ant's technology enhances theirs by providing an easier way for businesswomen to set up and manage their own crowdfunding campaigns, the report detailed.

For example, female entrepreneurs can select from a list of templates crafted for their business to launch a campaign. MoolaHoop automatically links their campaigns to social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter, the report stated.

Bazan, together with co-founder Nancy Hayes, started MoolaHoop in July to fill in the funding gap for female entrepreneurs. Since its launching, the company has started 11 campaigns. Nine women have secured over $100,000 in funding for their businesses, the report explained.

Bazan hopes the newly revamped MoolaHoop platform will boost the number of female entrepreneurs raising funding for their enterprises, Dallas News reported.
