Polish multi-service firm Multimedia Polska has purchased cable operator Telektronik from Reda. The financial terms of the acquisition deal were not disclosed, according to Broadband TV News.

Based on local reports, Telektronik is a company that provides triple-play services in the cities of Gdansk, Sopot, and Gdynia. The newly acquired cable firm currently serves 12,000 homes, the report stated.

As of the end of 2013, the company's revenue generating units (RGU) reached more than13,000, the report added.

As part of the deal, Telektronik subscribers can now have access to several new services including Video on Demand (VoD). They will continue to enjoy their existing services at the same fee, including a popular TV channel in Poland, the report explained.

Multimedia Polska was established in the tri-city two years back with the purchase of Stream Communications. The media firm competes with Vectra for the second rank in the Polish cable market, Broadband TV News reported.
