OSX Brazil bondholders to work with AlixPartners on OSX claim

OSX Brasil SA shareholders have engaged the services of AlixPartners LLP. The move was designed to restructure of about USD500 million in bonds, according to two individuals with direct knowledge on the transaction.

The financial consulting firm is bassed out of New York. It would work hand in hand with Bingham McCutchen LLP, the law firm providing legal advice to OSX creditors. 

OSX was established in 2009 for supply vessels and services which includes its sister companies as assets. Last Oct 31, the company exercised its right to bankruptcy protection. 

Tim Yost, an AlixPartners spokesperson declined to make a comment while the OSX Press Office also said it would not any limit in the matter. AlixPartners LLP said that it would be working to represent the holders of OSX's dollar denomiaed protection by 2015.

OSX and OGX are the only ones of Eike Bautista's public companies that had issued bonds in the international market.
