Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was recently reported to have purchased four homes adjacent to his own home in Palo Alto, CA. The transactions were confirmed by a person with knowledge of the matter but requested anonymity.

The man behind the world's largest social network started snapping up properties after rumors spread of a developer seeking to purchase one of the said properties very near Zuckerberg's own home. Zuckerberg reportedly spent USD30 million for the purchases which started back in December. The transactions were reported in the San Jose Mercury News.

Zuckerberg's home, which is valued at USD7 million in March 2011, was purchased by a limited liability company. It was where Facebook was established before moving to its current Menlo Park offices back in 2011. Amongst its most illustrious residents of Palo Alto are Larry Paige, one of the co-founders of Google and the late Steve Jobs, Apple co-founder who passed away back in 2011.
