Emirates NBD finalizes agreement to sponsor Manchester United

The largest bank in the United Arab Emirates, the Emirates NBD, recently announced a five year partnership agreement with Manchester United Football Club. The agreement would make the lending institution the Premier League club's exclusive financial partner in the UAE. 

Part of the plan would be to allow the bank to offer branded credit cards as well as join a number of international sponsors such as Aon, Bulova, Chevrolet, DHL, Danamon, Epson, Maybank, Nike, Santander and Standard Bank.

According to Emirates NBD Retail Banking General Manager Suvo Sarkar, "As one of the most popular sports in the world, football instantly touches the hearts of millions. Working with one of the giants of this beautiful game offers us an important platform to connect emotionally to millions of fans."

He added, "As the leading bank in the region, Emirates NBD is delighted to partner with a global brand like Manchester United; a household name in the UAE with a huge residential fan base. This partnership provides the perfect stage for the launch of a card which will enable fans to connect further with one of the most exciting brands in world football."
