LivQuik Technology Pvt Ltd announced that it had received an undisclosed sum from Snow Leopard Technology Ventures. Snow Leopard Technology Ventures is a venture capital fund that supplies seed capital to businesses in India who are in the internet and technology sectors. LivQuik, a payments technology startup based in Mumbai, said that the funds would be employed in the expansion of its marketing, engineering and operations units in a bid to bolster the company's presence in the country.

LivQuik is also currently in the advanced stages of launching a mobile wallet application that will allow customers to pay restaurants and retail stores using their smartphones. The software is called QuikWallet. The company is currently waiting for their patent application of Quikwallet to be approved. The software has a conventional application programming interface (APIs) that allows the program to integrate with any point-of-sale (POS) billing software.

"We built the product because there was a clear gap in the Indian market. While there are many mobile wallets as such, there is no mobile app or service similar to QuikWallet. We've made it seamless for users and painless for merchants," CEO and co-founder of LivQuik Mohit Lalvani said.
